I've wanted a charm bracelet for a long time and have collected charms for years but they've just sat in a little zip lock bag forever. I've ran into several problems... (1) charms are so darn expensive! {I adore the charms at Tiffany's but they start at $200 and you can only put 5-7 on a bracelet. We're talking $1000+ here people! Yikes!} (2) jewelers don't want to solder your charms onto your bracelet and (3) if you do find a jeweler who agrees to soldering your charms, half the time, that is more money than the charm itself.
So, I kind of gave up on my hope of ever having a charm bracelet to pass on to my children one day. Bummer...
But NO! In November I went with some of my sorority sisters to the Southern Christmas show in Charlotte. I really like the idea of supporting small businesses. The show was incredible and much different than the craft shows I went to when I was little. All the booths were occupied by young entrepreneurs with really awesome ideas! {I'll tell you more about that later} Imagine my delight when I came across a booth for charm bracelets!
My Charmed Life is a company out of Chicago that offers charms in sterling silver and 14k gold. They have TONS charms! And the best part? They put the charms on for you! If you order additional charms you can even add them yourself because they are added with itty bitty little key rings, if that makes sense? The charms are very reasonable and I know you'll find charms that you love! Filling up your bracelet will be easy! Here are a few (okay, A LOT) that I have my eye on...

A chihuahua charm to represent my sweet dog, Holly

A money tree or piggy bank for good fortune

A horse shoe or four leaf clover for good luck

A mustard seed and cross to remember to always have faith

A Kappa Delta crest, nautilus shell or letters to remember to uphold all that is Honorable, Beautiful, and Highest

A photo frame -- I'd put a picture of a loved one I tragically lost during my teenage years that had an immeasurable impact on my life

A cowboy boot... Just because I love boots

A purse to remember to always be a lady

Measuring cups to remember my Nanny who's a fabulous cook and a Navy cap to remember my my Pap and his war stories

A palm tree to represent Charleston, SC, my favorite place in the world

A suitcase to remember my mission trips, a cruise ship to remember spring break with my sisters, and New York state to remember my graduation girls' trip to NYC!
Others I adore:

Oyster with pearl, Filigree heart, key, American Flag heart, passport, teapot, graduation cap, bride and groom, anchor

And if you've made it this far, want to know something cool?! Every charm bracelet comes with a cute and complimentary Charm Diary. You can record why a particular charm was chosen and it's meaning so that when it's time to pass on the bracelet to someone else, the bracelet becomes that much more sentimental!
I think these bracelets are perfect gifts for weddings/bridesmaids, anniversaries, birthdays, mother's day, graduation, teachers, sorority girls, or even yourself! What do you think?
Have a blessed day, y'all!
This is not a sponsored post and I received no compensation of any kind for my opinion. I simply liked the company and their products and wanted to share!

Wow! My mom would love these as a present! She has 3 pandora charm bracelets that are full, but she would find a lot of these charms to be cute, too!
I love this! I've always wanted a charm bracelet that I could add charms from all over to, but all I have is the Tiffany heart bracelet.

I love these! It's so hard to find cute, reasonably priced charms (I'd love all the ones from Tiffany but like you said -yikes)! Thanks for posting this!

I've always wanted a charm bracelet too! I love the charms you picked out. Especially the KD ones :)
AOT!
I have my mother's charm bracelet and it is one of my cherished pieces. There are charms from a beauty pageant she was in, from the state of Miss bc that's where we're from, etc. etc. Also, as a delta gamma I love the anchor charm. I would love a bracelet of all anchor charms.
Gorgeous! Mine is from James Avery and it is my favorite piece of jewelry! XO
Wow, I love your picks! I have two full charm bracelets (posted about back in the summer) and while it was quite the expense, it's a one of a kind piece of jewelry I'll always treasure!
I've got a James Avery charm bracelet that I've had since high school. I can't wait to start one for my daughter. James Avery will also solder all new charms for free...if you choose to move them around then there is a small fee.
I would thanks for your effort which you have put to write this article. Very well written... I have gone through your article. I have no words to say more about it. Its nice on selected topic.
